Synchronize! Pro is software for file server mirroring, file synchronization and backup. It will mirror an AppleShare file server to a secondary server over AppleTalk or Ethernet, keeping the secondary server as a "hot backup" which can be put into use immediately if the primary server fails.
When used for file synchronization, it will keep the contents two different disks or folders up-to-date, regardless of where the changes are made. It copies the latest files within a designated folder to a corresponding folder on another disk. Its uses include keeping the most recent versions of documents on an office desktop Mac and a PowerBook or a Mac at home, for example, up-to-date.
